Cynthia Nelson-Allen was born September 18, 1953 in Seattle and passed peacefully on August 8th 2009 in Everett. Cyndi graduated from Ingraham High School in 1971, attended PLU and graduated from the UW as an occupational therapist. She spent her career working with children with disabilities and in her final years worked with many autistic children.
Cyndi's skills, passion and dedication changed many lives. Cyndi is survived by her parents Jack and Thelma Nelson, her husband Chuck Allen, daughter Shannon Lara, son in law Anthony Lara grandson Jaxen Lara and son Patrick Allen. Her family and friends will forever miss Cyndi's loving presence in our lives. Cyndi asked that donations in her memory be made to Autism Speaks.
A memorial service will be held at Luther Memorial Church at 13047 Greenwood N in Seattle at 1:00 p.m., August 29th.
